New trainer
Sam Davison has been involved with horses from an early age. From a hunting
and showjumping background, Sam progressed to Point to Pointers and has been
involved in racing ever since, working for Derby winning trainer Roger Charlton,
and Pete Jones.
She worked in Australia as a track rider and assistant for a year, gaining
great experience of different training methods and yearling breaking.
In 2003 Sam began training Arabian racehorses, quickly progressing through
the ranks to one of the leading trainers in the UK. She has trained over 30
winners for her owners including a Group 2 and several Premier Handicaps.
She trained the winner at Dubai Day (Newbury) 3 years in succession with 3
different horses (in 2008 training the first 3 home in the 20 runner Premier
Handicap, the first 2 having their first runs of the season!).
Point to Point training also brought success winning with horses previously
showing no form for other trainers.
Sam now has a dual purpose license to train under BHA rules, and is dedicated
to continuing to gain the best results possible whilst ensuring the horses
are happy and healthy.
